Joseph P Hamon is a Certified Specialist in family law as accredited by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Together with his Collaborative Family Law certification, he is also a certified comprehensive mediator (Family Mediation Canada) trained to deal with personal family dynamics and legal and financial issues in family breakdown.

Joseph, after receiving his law degree (LL.B.) from the University of Ottawa in 1984, received his bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in 1988 from the University of St. Michael’s College (University of Toronto) ultimately through pursuing theological and philosophical studies at the University of St. Paul in Ottawa. In 1991, he married Kristan Hamon, and opened his own law practice under the name of “Hamon Family Law”. He practices in both Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley through his Combermere office.
